Your Recertification. Simplified.
With our all-new EMT Refresher course, you will obtain 40 hours of continuing education for an all-in-one recertification solution!
Recertifying your EMT certification can be overly complicated. Stressful. Expensive. Full of guesswork. And let’s face it, downright boring.
We’ve all been there, cycle after cycle, forced to sit in that death by PowerPoint presentation that just doesn’t fit into your schedule. Or maybe this is your first recertification, and you’re just not sure where to start.
We guarantee with our course that you will not only have enough hours to recertify, but you will have learned new things to use in your practice!
You get to focus on the evidence-based medicine and thought-provoking topics presented by our staff of world-class instructors and handpicked industry leaders.
Just because the standards are outdated doesn’t mean that your education needs to be!
Let’s Talk Specifics.
The National Registry of EMTs (NREMT) requires you to complete 40 hours of continuing education every two (2) years.
To meet these hours with our course, you will receive a learning path with on-demand and self-paced classes to meet the education requirements in the distributive (DE/F3) format.
Our EMT Refresher course will provide you with the hours to meet the following requirements:
20 CEUs for the National Component
10 CEUs for the Individual Component
10 CEUs for the Local Component
(Please check with your state to ensure this course is accepted for State/Local requirements.)

Answers to All Your Questions
Will this meet all of the requirements for my NREMT recertification?
Yes! Inside your learning path, we will assign you 40 CEUs of continuing education courses that you must complete for your recertification.
Since the NREMT is not requiring live education for those recertifying in 2022, we have removed it from our course requirements.
Is this course accredited?
Yes! All IA MED courses are accredited by Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE), meaning you can apply your credits earned to most state and national certifications.
Does this course have any live education?
Our EMT Refresher course does not have any live education within the course requirements.
Due to the NREMT removing the distributive education limits those students with NREMT certifications expiring in 2022 can recertify completely with online only education.
NREMT Distributive Education Update
“Distributive Education limits removed for the recertification cycle ending March 31, 2022 (EMT, AEMT, Paramedic) and September 30, 2022 (EMR).
All EMTs, AEMTs and Paramedics due to recertify on March 31, 2022, will have no limits on Distributive Education. The same will apply to EMRs due to recertify on September 30, 2022. This allows all Continuing Education to be accomplished online through any state-accepted or CAPCE-accredited program or education site. Of course, in-person continuing education will also be accepted.”

Absolutely loved it! I’ve been certified since 2015 and I love course material that keeps you engaged as well as informed with updated protocols, standards and procedures. The course material included the unprecedented yet probably necessary awareness and changes that were made-and are still being made-during and after the pandemic. I appreciate the enhancing quality of the instructors, and their personal ability to incorporate life experiences and humor. The grief and death and stress portion was my favorite component/module of the entire refresher course. While we talk about it in class and in the field, it’s still unfortunately a stigmatized and taboo subject. I know of many souls we have lost to suicide due to overwhelmed stress in the field with no outlet. Thank you for highlighting the various aspects that go into working in this field. Bravo on the best refresher course I’ve been through thus far.
It's a slick package for getting CE hours in the bank. It's a pretty good fit for me since as a rural EMT, I don't have a lot of options for conferences or symposia to attend in person. The dashboard layout of classes and presentations is handy for me; I just click, test and move down the list, and I've got stuff to feed into my NREMT profile. Some of the content is way over my scope of practice as a regular EMT, but I've been enjoying that as well, since I can infer connections from what those paramedics and nurses care about to what I care about as a rural field person. So I'm pretty pleased. Thanks.
